Accounting Workforce Development Act Gains Momentum
Legislation to address the CPA pipeline in North Carolina has been moving quickly! The Accounting Workforce Development Act, introduced in the General Assembly this spring, would create a much-needed third path to CPA licensure in our state: a bachelor's degree, two years of experience, and passage of the CPA Exam.

NCACPA has been actively engaged in advocating for this change to ensure it supports the profession without compromising quality or mobility. The pace of the legislation’s movement reflects growing recognition of the workforce challenges our profession faces and the need for thoughtful solutions.
