CEO Chronicles: Volume 3
Transformation isn’t coming. It’s already here.
And NCACPA is leaning in—boldly, intentionally, and together.
As I reflect on the past year, I’m reminded that every chapter in NCACPA’s history has been written by those who believed in something bigger than themselves. Our past is filled with leaders who saw beyond the horizon, who built a foundation strong enough to endure, adapt, and grow. It’s because of their vision that we stand where we are today—ready not just to face change, but to drive it.
In 2024, NCACPA entered a new era. With the transition in CEO leadership and the thoughtful reshaping of our organizational structure, we set out to align the Association with the needs of a rapidly evolving profession. Change was never the end goal—transformation was. And thanks to the trust and partnership of our Board and the courage of our staff, we’re moving forward with clarity, strength, and purpose.
Last Fall, our Board of Directors adopted a three-year strategic roadmap that points squarely toward the future. It calls on us to deepen our advocacy, ignite innovation across our work, and build a stronger, more connected community for all who serve and support the accounting profession. It challenges us to think bigger, move faster, and never lose sight of the incredible people who make this Association what it is.
Advocacy remains one of the most powerful ways NCACPA makes an impact. In a time of political and regulatory change, we are protecting the CPA designation on multiple fronts, investing in the next generation of CPAs and accounting professionals, and strengthening the voice of our members in every critical conversation. The work we’ve done—and the groundwork we’re laying—ensures that our profession remains strong, respected, and accessible for years to come.
But none of this happens in isolation. It happens because of you—our members, our volunteer leaders, our staff, and our partners. It happens because people believe in the work, the mission, and the future we are building together.
To our members: thank you for trusting us with the future of our profession.
To our Board: thank you for your leadership, your partnership, and your willingness to embrace transformation with vision and boldness.
To our staff: thank you for leaning into change, for challenging norms, and for showing up every day with passion and purpose.
We honor the past by building forward. And that’s exactly what we’re doing—writing the next great chapter for NCACPA and the profession we serve.
The future is bright.
The momentum is real.
And together, we are just getting started.
Sincerely,
